Calm for Cold Evenings

Calm for Cold Evenings

I have never made tea from anything other than tea bags and store bought loose tea, so it came as a pleasant surprise to realize that I can use the same chamomile I put in my eye pillows to make tea! On a cold evening curled up by the fire, a cup of hot tea, soothing music and my aromatherapy eye pillow create a perfect relaxing atmosphere and get me ready for a refreshing night of sleep! Give it a try before we move into spring.

Chamomile Tea Recipe

  • 1/4 cup dried chamomile flowers
  • 3/4 cup boiling water
  • 1/4 cup warmed milk
  • honey to taste

Place the chamomile in your teapot and pour over the freshly boiled water. Let it steep for about 5 minutes. Meanwhile, warm the milk and honey and place in your cup. Using a strainer, pour in your tea.

Sit back, sip your tea, listen to music and enjoy the warmth from your fire. When you have finished your tea, lay back with your eye pillow and enjoy the soothing effects of the chamomile tea.

Dried chamomile flowers can be found through herb stores online. Or you can purchase chamomile teabags.
